After trying a local ‘puppy school’ & seemingly getting no where with loose lead walking & reactivity, we tried a 1-1 session with James & Georgia, after 5-10 mins it was clear that everything we had been taught by the previous trainer was not going to work with our GSP, Ivy. There was already a huge improvement in Ivy’s on lead behaviour by the time we finished that session. We now go to their weekly class with more & more improvement every week & a far better understanding of what Ivy needs & responds too. Highly recommended 👌🏼

After speaking with James on the phone I was so pleased I didn't use the previous trainer I had spoke with regarding Lillys behaviour. They advised me to only use a harness and to ask the vets to medicate, which I didn't want to do.

When I first met James and Georgia it was clear they have lots of experience working with difficult behaviours and really know their stuff! 

I was really struggling with Lilly. She pulled constantly on the lead, barked and lunged at people and dogs.. it was awful and making life unbearable! We even thought about rehoming her as just didn't know what to do.

We had one session with the dog squad and I can't believe the difference. They explained all her behaviour and why she was feeling the way she was. Lilly enjoyed every minute working with them! I know I have work to do to continue her training but feel I am now able to. I no longer feel worried to walk my dog and James and Georgia will always be at the end of the phone if I need them. Thankyou again guys amazing ☺️

I got into contact with Georgia as I was struggling with reactivity with my 4 year old male Labrador, I had quite frankly had enough of feeling like I wasn’t in control, I was becoming very anxious when it came to walking him, avoiding public places, parks, town centres etc and just sticking to empty fields. When I spoke to Georgia over the phone I was very pleased to hear that herself and James would be more than happy to help us. We have just completed our fourth session and I feel so much more confident even going to places I never thought would be possible, with the right knowledge and tools we are on the right path to having an even better bond and I can’t thank Georgia and James enough, highly recommend.

I had to write this, because I'm feeling so much more positive about my boy Sonny, and me, than I was this time yesterday! I had been meaning to get some much needed training for Sonny, but kept putting it off.. (As we do!) An incident, recently, made me realise, I had to act NOW! I spoke to Georgia at length before our meeting, so she had a good overview of Sonny, and me! This is the most honest, appraisal I can give Georgia and James: From the moment they arrived. The whole vibe was relaxed, which set the tone! The usual morning walk started with Georgia channelling Sonny's 'RAAAH' energy into playing with a 'Flirt Stick', whilst James was by my side. Observing and noticing, every, single element of his behaviour, and mine. Commenting, but without negativity. He was absolutely Spot On! There is much work to do, BUT, to see my boy react so happily when given clear, quiet, boundaries/instruction and me, learning that I have the power to make our walks better, is honestly the best feeling! I can't wait to see what our next session brings! Thank you both, you definitely know your stuff! 🙏😊

Contacted James and Georgia as my parents have a 2year old English bulldog who they haven't been able to get to walk on a lead.

She would slip harnesses and collars then run back home! She has never even been walked out of the house. We really didn't know what to do! 

We had one session with the dog squad and she is now walking like a dream. They explained all her behaviour and we know Romie needed confidence and clarity from us. They were so helpful, full of advice and so easy to get on with.

We were absolutely blown away with the difference they made in just one session! Thankyou so much we highly recommended them to anyone! ☆☆☆☆☆

These guys are amazing, they worked with my Reactive Cockapoos and within the space of 1 hour they have picked up the new training pattern, and over the next lesson they were exposed to various dogs.

This training company was a gamer changer for us as we were having to choose walks without dogs. 100% recommend trying them. So helpful

Can Highly recommended The Dog Squad trainers. Our mini Dachshund pumpkin has really taken to her training and has a new found confidence, this comes with Georgia and James expertise and gentle approach, they work with pumpkin watching her body language lots of praise and introducing well behaved dogs to her in a controlled manner reinforcing positive interactions.its amazing how much you learn in understanding dog behaviour from the training and I feel we have benefitted as owners ,I would recommended James and Georgia 100 percent only wish they were about with our previous dog who would have benefitted from positive training. Both trainers are kind patient and attentive to our dogs needs.pumpkin enjoys her hour with them and is so relaxed after. We had a poor experience with puppy classes elsewhere and felt the classes did not help pumpkin in those early days, which was so important and as owners we wanted good interactions and socialisation from early on, this was not a good experience for pumpkin at the start. So glad we found the dog squad, thankyou and see you next week

We feel very lucky that we came across The Dog Squads Facebook page. We have seen other trainers and maybe have not had the best advice or approach for our dog and his reactivity. We were still determined to find the 'right fit' and are confident that we have now. In just three sessions we have seen an improvement in our dogs attention to us and his behavior towards other dogs. He is not 'fixed' but he is improving and The Dog Squad are helping us in the right direction and they celebrate the wins with us no matter how big or small. They have good advice and are friendly and happy to try new approaches. It's great that they even look through videos (that they may make during training) after your training session and come back with things that they have noticed that may need to be altered to improve the training. So they don't just stop thinking about how to help us when the session ends and we've all gone home. They truly want to provide a great service! We can't wait to see our dogs progress and what he is capable of in the future with their help!

They are a friendly pair of dog trainers, who are full of praise and encouragement for my five month old puppy and me. 

They always provide me with great helpful training techniques and lots of ideas for places to visit with my puppy. We are both learning and making slow but steady progress and I look forward to our twining sessions together and I am sure my puppy does too. Thank you Dog Squad

I contacted James and Georgia to help me as my dog wouldn't come back to me. She's just over a year old and I've never been able to let her off lead anywhere! They were really nice and friendly, bella also thought so. Very knowledgeable and explained why I was having problems. I've followed their advice for the last few weeks and what a difference in Bella. I've even called her back from another dog. I am really pleased and can't thank them enough!

I recommend dog squad they have made my life, which a couple of months ago I was at my wits end not knowing what to do! I could not take her out being a very large puppy she now can be walked very easily. She has a lot more ability to calm down and is turning into the dog I'd hoped for but had lost hope at one stage.

James and Georgia have worked very hard to give me confidence and with that I cope with Rosie much better. Thank you

I've been working with James and Georgia for several months now, mainly looking to improve my dog Neos socialisation and obedience. He's already come along really well and is much more relaxed around other dogs plus he's learnt a load of new skills too! 

Classes are relaxed and fun whilst still achieving goals and there's always something new to learn. 

Would recommend The Dog Squad to anyone looking to address any issues with reactivity, improve obedience or to simply have a good time with your dog and learn new things!

I was really struggling with reactivity and obedience with my JRT - James very patiently helped us improve the situation dramatically! It's great to learn about why my dog behaves in that way, and he absolutely loved the training and games! I also learned this is a process, and we need to keep up with the practice outside of the training to retain consistency. James & Georgia are lovely and I would highly recommend them both.
